Star Wars Outlaws is just weeks away from launch, and Ubisoft has released the full PC requirements for the game. The good news is that playing at 1080p with high settings isn't too demanding. However, moving up to 1440p and 4K will require more powerful hardware. However, all specs are listed with scaling enabled.
An update on Ubisoft's store page reveals the full PC requirements for what the company is calling the first open-world Star Wars game. The good news for those with low-end PCs is that the game will run on at least an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 or Intel Core i7-8700K paired with a GeForce GTX 1660 (6GB), AMD RX 5600XT (6GB), Intel Arc A750 (8GB, with ReBAR enabled). Keep in mind that this type of rig will only manage 30fps at 1080p with low graphics presets.
As for recommended specs, Ubisoft says either an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X or an Intel Core i5-10400 will suffice, alongside either an RTX 3060 Ti (8GB), AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT (12GB), or better. The RTX 3060 Ti is the fourth most popular GPU among Steam survey participants, so a lot of people should be covered at this tier. You’ll be able to play the game at 1080p with high graphics presets at this tier.
Those with a 1440p monitor who want to enjoy a high-settings experience at 60fps will need an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X or Intel Core i5-11600K paired with either a GeForce RTX 3080 (10GB)/GeForce RTX 4070 (12GB) or AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT (16GB) or better.
Finally, to play 4K at 60fps with Ultra settings, you'll need at least an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D or Intel Core i7-12700K. As for the graphics card, you'll need a GeForce RTX 4080 (16GB) or AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX (24GB) or better.
The caveat here is that Ubisoft lists each setting as enhanced (Quality Settings), which is 1080p upscaled from 720p, 1440p upscaled from 960p, and 4K upscaled from 1440p.
It’s increasingly common for companies to include games with upscaling. When Remnant II launched last year, developer Gunfire Games said it was designed to be used with DLSS, FSR, and XeSS as standard, making it the first PC game “designed with upscaling in mind.”
Star Wars Outlaws launches August 30 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S.
